Why sustainability matters to us..
Founded in 2016 by Daniel Lund Savage the brand’s mission was to create products for everyday use that customers would be proud of owning and using. 2019 saw the launch of Lund’s iconic Skittle Bottle and so started the journey of sustainability and the ambition to create an eco – conscious brand. Since then Lund London has increased its range of eco-friendly lifestyle accessories to collapsible coffee cups, travel mugs and reusable picnic-ware, with design, sustainability and quality at the forefront of every idea.
Global Recycle Standard 4.0 (GRS 4.0) Certification
The Lund London factory is proud to be GRS 4.0 certified by Intertek. The Global Recycle Standard is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for the third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. GRS is established as a leading standard for verification of recycled materials in the apparel industry and defines good working conditions and the minimisation of harmful environmental and chemical impacts as indispensable certification criteria.
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)
The Lund London factory is accredited by BSCI, the European social monitoring system for ethical sourcing established by the Foreign Trade Association. It unites companies globally around one shared code of conduct based on the work guidelines of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the UN Charter for Human Rights, among other universal guidelines. This third-party verification confirms the factory’s compliance with labor laws, employee health, and safety and environmental initiatives.
Sustainability at the core
In just 4 years since introducing our sustainable lifestyle range Lund London has worked hard to contribute to a greener way of living. From drinking straws to picnicware to bottles & travel mugs, our goal is always to create products that can be reused and reduce the impact of single use items heading to landfill. We always aim to work with the most environmentally friendly materials and produce easily recyclable products and, despite some challenges along the way, the majority of our catalogue is composed of products that make an impact on the environment at least once during the product’s lifecycle.
